Core service details

Bioburden, sterility, monitoring, consultancy, and bespoke testing.

Bioburden testing is used to check the microbial load in a product, and this test helps monitor microbial presence in raw materials, finished products, or during the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted according to USP 61 and ISO 11737-1:2006.

Sterility testing aims at medical devices labelled as sterile by manufacturers. It checks microbial presence in the product and supports product safety. Sterility testing follows procedures based on USP 71 or ISO 11737-2:1998.

RWL conducts surface monitoring on porous or non-porous surfaces and air monitoring. Surface monitoring uses swab methods to check the effectiveness of disinfection procedures and determine bacterial count levels.

Consultancy is the core part of Real World Labs. RWL supports antimicrobial product development, efficient antimicrobial agent screening, regulatory-aligned testing, and field trial design.

If requirements do not meet a standard protocol, the RWL team can modify or design the test method or conditions according to manufacturer and customer requirements.
