Dr Shilpa Saseendran Nair is the Director of ‘Real World Labs Limited’ provides consultancy services on antibacterial efficacy testing of the novel or the commercially available antimicrobial products. Ms Shilpa graduated with a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Auckland and she was in the microbiology team of ‘Biocide Toolbox Programme”      (https://www.biocidetoolbox.com/microbiology) funded by MBIE (Ministry of Innovation and Employment).  Her PhD was evaluating the potency of long term active biocide using several bacterial strains including antibiotic resistant and spores.  She established protocols to check the antimicrobial potency for long-lasting biocides, and she observed the efficacy of the biocide is different during in vitro and real-world conditions. Her experience in testing antimicrobial products helps the customers choose an effective product on their premises and support manufacturers to assess the efficacy of their product.--

Qualification: PhD in Molecular Medicine, Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology and Botany (Double majors).
