Biocide Efficacy Tests

Long Term Active Biocides

Antimicrobial surfaces aim to reduce the cross-contamination of pathogens on the surface. Long-term or permanent protective biocides are attaining public attention, while the public/customers are unsure about the manufacturer’s claim. Modified JIS Z 2801:2012 (1,2) method is used to check the antibacterial claim of the manufacturers. Long term active biocide can either be incorporated into the surface or directly applied on the surface.Microbial presence on the surface is either in wet or dry conditions depending on the temperature and humidity of the place. We provide both wet and dry fomite tests based on customer requirements to ensure biocidal efficacy. The wet fomite test represents microbial presence in wet conditions, and the dry fomite test represents microbial survival in dry conditions.

Efficacy testing on both non-porous and porous surfaces.

1. Antimicrobial potency test (Wet and Dry Fomite Tests)
2. Stability test
3. Durability test
4. Real-world test

Our expertise in biocide can provide a solution by testing in real-world facilities on various premises, such as hospitals, aviation, schools, gym, day-care, aged care, and so on. Various modified tests can assure you about the biocide, whether it is suitable for your premises. The antimicrobial potency test determines the potency of biocide. Stability determines how long the biocide is stable on the treated surface. Durability tests can determine the durability of biocide when the intervention of other products on the treated surface. Real-world tests will provide the data on the bacterial level (reduction or no change) while using the biocide on-premises.
